Tours abroad are one of the most interesting pages of artistic life of the Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Over the last years collective toured in 15 Asian and European countries – South Korea, Iran, Algeria, Tunisia, Spain, Italy,France, Romania, Portugal, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Belgium, Poland and Belarus. Orchestra’s performances caused huge public interest in the most prestigious concert halls of these countries: Concertgebouw (Amsterdam, Netherlands); Koningin Elisabethzaal (Antwerp, Belgium); Arena Sferisterio (Macerata, Italy); Teatro Carlo Felice (Genoa); Teatro Petruzzelli (Bari); Teatro Ponchielli (Cremona); Teatro Luciano Pavarotti (Modena); Teatro Romano (Ascoli Piceno, Italy); Teatro Politeamo Garibaldi (Palermo, Italy); Auditorio Nacional de Musica, Teatro Monumental (Madrid, Spain); Palau de la Musica Catalana (Barcelona, Spain); Casa da Musica, Coliseu do Porto (Porto, Portugal); Coliseu dos Recreios (Lisbon, Portugal); Coliseum (Nimes, France); Teatro Romano (Vienne, France);Teatro Opera (Timisoara, Romania); Algerian National Theatre and Palace "Moufdi Zakaria" (Algeria); City Hall (Seoul, South Korea), Coliseum (El Jem, Tunisia), Amphitheater (Cartage, Tunisia), City Hall (Hong Kong, China), National Philharmonic (Beijing, China).

  Every tour enriches the Orchestra with worthwhile artistic experience, interesting repertoire and unforgettable impressions.  

  Year by year the Orchestra visits Spain with its tours.It has its own listeners, gathers thousand-seat halls of Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Bilbao and Granada with M. Ravel’s “Bolero”, N.Rimsky-Korsakov's “Scheherazade”, G. Verdi's “Requiem”, C.Orff’s "Carmina Burana", L.van Beethoven’s and P.Tchaikovsky’s symphonies performances. Collaboration with famous European artists filled orchestra’s concert activity with bright colours. The collective was granted an honored possibility to play for Her Majesty Sofia, the Queen of Spain in 2008. Favorite Queen’s works “Requiem” and Symphony No. 40 by genius W. A. Mozart were performed there.

  Italy gave a possibility to the Orchestra to create a beauty with its talented artists – conductor Alfredo Sorichetti and soloists: Rosella Marcantoni (soprano), Kamelia Kader (contralto), Carlo Assogna (tenor), Christian Starinieri (baritone).  The performance of L. van Beethoven’s 9-th Symphony under the direction of the charismatic Austrian maestro Gustav Mack became a real revelation.

  Concerts in the Benelux countries are always honored and, at the same time, serious test for musicians, however the Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra successfully passed it. While giving a performances in the most prestigious halls of these countries, where the famous conductors, such as Valery Gergiev (De Doelen, Rotterdam), Evgeny Svetlanov (Anton Philips Hall, The Hague) worked for many years, the collective represented Ukrainian performing school with dignity. The cooperation with outstanding Maestro Fuat Mansurov in Benelux countries was the unforgettable page of Orchestra’s creative life.

  The Orchestra became the first European symphony orchestra that played in Iran for the last 27 years cultural isolation of the country. The European classic symphonyc masterpieces and works of modern Iranian composers were performed in five symphonic programs. The Orchestra worked in collaboration with National Choral Capella of Iran and Loris Cheknavoryan, the outstanding conductor, composer and Carl Orff’s student in Tehran.

  A bright page of Asian Orchestra’s tours became a trip to South Korea. The Orchestra has performed in all major cities – Seoul, Daegu, Gwangju, Incheon, Busan and others, as well as participated in large projects, such as opera performances “Il Trovatore” by G. Verdi, “Magic Flute” by W. A. Mozart, “Il Matrimonio Segreto” D. Cimarosa and numerous symphony concerts. Mastered Korean vocalists Kim Hee King, Yu Soyang, Judith Hari participated in director Dan Lupea’s and conductors Christian Sandu, San Yong Choi talented productions.
